Opening Friday 30th January, the gallery will host an exhibition by Edward Sach and Bessminda Groves, both Mullumbimby locals. The gallery space will be split in two, presenting two distinct but connected bodies of work.
Edward Sach’s style sits at the intersection of abstraction, biomorphic form, and bodily architecture. Informed by anatomy, medical imaging, and lived experience, his debut body of work reflects an intense and personal exploration of pain and life shaped by cancer, illness, and disability.
Alongside this is a series of oil paintings by Bessminda Groves, offering intimate contemplations on pain situated within a broader global context. Through abstracted scenes and emotionally charged faces, her work balances bold colour with soft forms and angular precision, creating spaces that feel both deeply personal and outward-looking.
Opening event - Friday 30 January, 4-8pm
Closing - Tuesday 10 February, open by appointment
